1. Gotovoview

The SentrySafe FPW082KSB is a fireproof and waterproof shelf safe designed to protect your valuable documents and possessions. This safe is UL Classified to protect contents for 1 hour in temperatures up to 1700°F (927°C) and ETL Verified for water resistance in up to 5 inches of water for 24 hours, even when bolted down. It features a dial combination lock with an override key for secure access.

3. Postavljanje

3.1 Raspakiranje i postavljanje

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Due to its weight (approximately 55 lbs), it is recommended to have assistance during unboxing and placement. Choose a suitable location for your safe, ensuring it is on a stable, level surface. Consider placing it in an area where it is less likely to be affected by falling debris in the event of structural collapse during a fire, such as a basement.

3.2 Bolt-Down Installation (Optional)

The safe includes a bolt-down kit for securing it to the floor or a wall. This feature enhances security against theft. The newly designed bolt-down kit maintains the integrity of the safe's water protection. Follow the instructions provided in the separate bolt-down kit manual for proper installation. Ensure the chosen surface can support the safe's weight and the force of bolting.

4. Upute za rad

4.1 Opening with Dial Combination

Your safe comes with a factory-set 3-number combination. Locate this combination in the owner's manual or on a tag attached to the safe. To open:

1. Turn the dial to the right at least four full turns, stopping on the first number of your combination the fourth time it aligns with the opening index mark.
2. Turn the dial to the left, passing the second number once, and stopping on the second number the second time it aligns with the opening index mark.
3. Turn the dial to the right, stopping on the third number the first time it aligns with the opening index mark.
4. Turn the handle to open the safe door.

4.2 Using the Override Key

In case of a forgotten combination or for quick access, an override key is provided. Insert the override key into the keyhole located near the dial and turn it to unlock. Then, turn the safe handle to open the door. Ensure the override key is stored securely outside the safe.

4.3 Zatvaranje i zaključavanje sefa

To close the safe, push the door firmly shut. The safe door will audibly confirm when it is closed and the deadbolts engage automatically. Ensure the handle is in the locked position. For maximum security, always rotate the dial after closing the door to scramble the combination.

5. Održavanje

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your SentrySafe. Keep the exterior of the safe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Periodically check the door seal for any signs of wear or damage to maintain its waterproof integrity. If the dial mechanism feels stiff, a small amount of lubricant can be applied to the moving parts, as suggested by some users, but always consult SentrySafe support if unsure.

6. Rješavanje problema

6.1 Door Not Closing/Locking Properly

If the safe door does not close or lock correctly, ensure no items are obstructing the door or the locking bolts. Check that the handle is fully engaged. Sometimes, the locking mechanism may require lubrication. Apply a small amount of a suitable lubricant to the bolts and latch mechanism. If the issue persists, contact SentrySafe customer support.

6.2 Forgotten Combination

If you forget your combination, use the provided override key to open the safe. It is highly recommended to record your combination in a secure location separate from the safe. For assistance with combination recovery, contact SentrySafe customer support with your safe's serial number.
