Make-a-Monster
This educational project teaches simple circuits through the wiring of an LED and battery. Most of the parts can be re-purposed for other projects too, the battery holder & LED are awesome for paper circuit projects!

Decorate your blank, or choose and color your variant!

If you chose a paper variant, use tape or glue to attach.

Using a screwdriver or pencil, Slowly and CAREFULLY poke a hole for your LED.

Next, insert battery pack into the foot notch as shown.

Insert your LED and gently bend the leads down and slightly away from each other. Mark an “-” for the short lead negative, and a “+” for the longer lead positive. Wrap the positive RED battery lead once around the positive LED lead and the negative BLACK battery leads to the negative LED lead, making sure not to touch the bare positives to the negatives. Test your LED.

If your LED lights up, secure your connections and excess wires with tape. If your LED does not light up, make sure the wiring is correct and making good contact.
Please Note: Small parts present a choking hazards. We recommend ages 8+ for the electronics, your child’s skill levels may vary, we encourage parental supervision and participation!
